Lasers-at-Work has the knowledge and credentials to offer:
We teach the theory and practice of how laser equipment works so your staff can effectively diagnose equipment issues and make apprpriate adjustments. We teach the fundamentals and practical applications of laser processes so your staff understands their laser processes and can adjust parameters to optimize process performance based on knowledge and understanding, not guesswork. More power is not the solution to every problem.
The ANSI Z136.1 Standard fo the Safe Use of Lasers states that all workers that could be exposed to Class 3B or Class 4 laser radiation shall receive laser safety awareness training. Lasers-at-Work provides lasers safety awareness training that complies with the requirements of the ANSI Z136.1 Standard. An initial Laser Safety Awareness course takes up to 2 hours to present.
All facilities that operate Class 3B or Class 4 lasers shall appoint a Laser Safety Officer - LSO (ANSI Z136.1 wording) or Competent Person (Ontario MOL wording) to oversee a Laser Safety Program to ensure the safety of all workers at the facility. The LSO shall receive laser safety training appropriate for the laser beam and non-beam hazards present at the facility and to enable them to set up and run a Laser Safety Program. Even if the laser system(s) at the facility are Class 1 for normal operation, if adminitrative controls, like Lock-Out, are used to maintain the Class 1 status, a Laser Safety Program and an LSO are required.
